Multidisciplinary artist Kystyna Katsouri draws on minor life events to create a montage of lived experiences. Through the deliberate attention to minor detail the artist explores quiet, calm and sentimental moments that intrude upon a sense of ego offering the viewer an opportunity to slow down, observe, and be present in their surroundings. Through this piece connection to place/ land exists as series of events, connection becomes desirable and achievable but non the less disjointed, fractured.
Katsourie’s practice includes public art, illustration, ceramics and video.
